1 General Terms

1.1 Parties and Scope of these General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

These GTC of index­tor Con­sult­ing GmbH, oper­at­ing under the name find-your-campervan.com (here­inafter referred to as “find-your-campervan.com”), togeth­er with the spe­cif­ic rental agree­ments indi­vid­u­al­ly agreed dur­ing the book­ing process with the respec­tive providers of camper­vans (here­inafter referred to as “rental part­ners”), form the con­trac­tu­al basis for the legal rela­tion­ship estab­lished through the use of the plat­form between find-your-campervan.com and the users (here­inafter referred to as “cus­tomers”). These GTC exclu­sive­ly gov­ern the medi­a­tion ser­vice pro­vid­ed by find-your-campervan.com between the cus­tomer and the respec­tive rental part­ner of camper­vans and motorhomes, i.e., the pro­vi­sion of the plat­form for the ini­ti­a­tion and pro­cess­ing of rental agree­ments.

The spe­cif­ic rental agree­ment between the cus­tomer and the rental part­ner is sub­ject to the rental partner’s applic­a­ble rental agree­ments, which include, among oth­er things, vehi­cle pick-up, pay­ment pro­cess­ing, secu­ri­ty deposit, can­cel­la­tion poli­cies, and vehi­cle return. In the event of any con­flict or incon­sis­ten­cy between these GTC and the rental partner’s spe­cif­ic rental agree­ments, the lat­ter shall pre­vail with respect to the spe­cif­ic rental agree­ment.

1.2 Mediation Services and Rental Agreements

find-your-campervan.com oper­ates a dig­i­tal com­par­i­son and book­ing plat­form, allow­ing cus­tomers to com­pare rental vehi­cles from select­ed com­mer­cial rental part­ners and to sub­mit bind­ing book­ing requests through a stan­dard­ized book­ing process. The plat­form assists cus­tomers in search­ing for avail­able vehi­cles based on their cri­te­ria and dis­plays the rel­e­vant rental con­di­tions, equip­ment details, and pric­ing. The prices offered are based on the indi­vid­ual agree­ments between find-your-campervan.com and the rental part­ners.
find-your-campervan.com does not oper­ate its own fleet, does not act as a rental com­pa­ny, and shall at no time become a con­tract­ing par­ty to the rental agree­ment between the cus­tomer and the rental part­ner. The rental agree­ment is con­clud­ed exclu­sive­ly between the cus­tomer and the select­ed rental part­ner.
find-your-campervan.com sole­ly acts as a tech­ni­cal inter­me­di­ary. Its ser­vices are lim­it­ed to the elec­tron­ic pro­vi­sion and trans­mis­sion of offers, book­ing details, and com­mu­ni­ca­tion data between the par­ties.
Legal­ly bind­ing dec­la­ra­tions, con­trac­tu­al amend­ments, can­cel­la­tions, com­plaints, or any oth­er com­mu­ni­ca­tion con­cern­ing the intend­ed or con­clud­ed rental agree­ment must be han­dled exclu­sive­ly between the cus­tomer and the rental part­ner. The same applies to dis­putes, war­ran­ty claims, or legal pro­ceed­ings aris­ing from the rental rela­tion­ship.

1.3 Target Group

The plat­form is intend­ed exclu­sive­ly for pri­vate end cus­tomers. Com­mer­cial use is exclud­ed unless express­ly approved in writ­ing.

1.4 Rental Part­ners and Mar­ket Cov­er­age

The vehi­cles are pro­vid­ed by exter­nal rental part­ners, which are explic­it­ly named dur­ing the book­ing process. The rental agree­ments of these providers are bind­ing. The range of offers avail­able on the plat­form is based on a selec­tion of qual­i­fied part­ner com­pa­nies and does not rep­re­sent com­plete mar­ket cov­er­age.

2 Booking Process and Rental Agreement

2.1 Offer Process and Booking Confirmation

find-your-campervan.com ini­tial­ly pro­vides the cus­tomer with a gen­er­al overview of vehi­cles that may the­o­ret­i­cal­ly be avail­able based on the select­ed region and desired trav­el peri­od. After reg­is­tra­tion, a best-price search is car­ried out for the vehi­cle cho­sen by the cus­tomer as well as for com­pa­ra­ble alter­na­tives. Once the results are avail­able, the cus­tomer gains access to the indi­vid­u­al­ly deter­mined price offers via their per­son­al login.
The cus­tomer can then sub­mit a bind­ing offer to con­clude a rental agree­ment with the respec­tive rental part­ner by com­plet­ing the book­ing process. This offer is deemed sub­mit­ted once the cus­tomer acti­vates the “Book Now” but­ton at the end of the book­ing process. At this point, the offer is trans­mit­ted by find-your-campervan.com to the rental part­ner.
The rental part­ner reserves the right to reject the offer with­out pro­vid­ing rea­sons, in par­tic­u­lar due to lack of avail­abil­i­ty. The same applies to find-your-campervan.com.
A bind­ing con­tract is only con­clud­ed if the cus­tomer receives a book­ing con­fir­ma­tion by email and a rental vouch­er with­in three busi­ness days after sub­mit­ting the book­ing request. If no response is received with­in this peri­od, the offer is deemed reject­ed, and the request void.

The cus­tomer is oblig­ed to pro­vide com­plete and truth­ful infor­ma­tion dur­ing the book­ing process. Incom­plete or incor­rect infor­ma­tion may result in the rejec­tion of the book­ing or a sub­se­quent can­cel­la­tion.

2.2 Purpose of Registration

Reg­is­tra­tion on the plat­form is required to access indi­vid­ual offers and com­plete a book­ing after the best-price search has been car­ried out by find-your-campervan.com. In the secure cus­tomer area, all book­ing-relat­ed infor­ma­tion and doc­u­ments will be pro­vid­ed. Com­mu­ni­ca­tion takes place pri­mar­i­ly via this area and email.

2.3 Offers and Offer Validity

All offers dis­played on find-your-campervan.com are based on avail­abil­i­ty and pric­ing infor­ma­tion trans­mit­ted at the time of the best-price search. This infor­ma­tion is time-spe­cif­ic and not con­tin­u­ous­ly or in real time updat­ed. Due to dynam­ic pric­ing, lim­it­ed con­tin­gents, or short-term changes by rental part­ners, the dis­played price may no longer be valid at the time of a lat­er book­ing attempt.

Before final­iz­ing the book­ing, find-your-campervan.com per­forms a renewed avail­abil­i­ty and price check with the respec­tive rental part­ner. If the orig­i­nal­ly dis­played offer is no longer avail­able at the indi­cat­ed price, the book­ing can­not be processed at that price. The cus­tomer has no enti­tle­ment to con­clude a rental agree­ment at the ini­tial­ly dis­played price in such a case.

2.4 Pre-Contractual Relationship, Voucher and final Rental Agreement

Upon receipt of the final book­ing con­fir­ma­tion, includ­ing the rental vouch­er, a pre-con­trac­tu­al rela­tion­ship aris­es between the cus­tomer and the respec­tive rental part­ner. This rela­tion­ship relates to the details spec­i­fied in the book­ing, includ­ing:
• vehi­cle cat­e­go­ry
• type of trans­mis­sion
• num­ber of sleep­ing berths
• per­mis­si­ble weight class
• pick-up and return dates

The cus­tomer is enti­tled to con­clude a bind­ing rental agree­ment with the rental part­ner under these con­di­tions. The pre-con­trac­tu­al rela­tion­ship does not enti­tle the cus­tomer to a spe­cif­ic vehi­cle mod­el, only to a vehi­cle with­in the booked cat­e­go­ry. A claim to a spe­cif­ic vehi­cle mod­el exists only if explic­it­ly request­ed in writ­ing by the cus­tomer and clear­ly con­firmed by the rental part­ner in writ­ing, includ­ing the exact mod­el name.
Pre­sen­ta­tion of the rental vouch­er is manda­to­ry for vehi­cle han­dover by the rental part­ner. The final, bind­ing rental agree­ment is con­clud­ed exclu­sive­ly between the cus­tomer and the rental part­ner and only upon vehi­cle han­dover at the agreed loca­tion. The final rental agree­ment, as signed on-site, gov­erns the rental rela­tion­ship exclu­sive­ly.
find-your-campervan.com is not a con­tract­ing par­ty to this agree­ment. While the plat­form strives to keep the rental part­ners’ rental agree­ments updat­ed, no guar­an­tee is giv­en for their com­plete­ness or accu­ra­cy. Only the con­trac­tu­al doc­u­ments signed on-site between the cus­tomer and the rental part­ner are legal­ly bind­ing.

2.5 Rental Period and Adjustments

Changes to the rental peri­od pri­or to vehi­cle pick-up must be coor­di­nat­ed exclu­sive­ly with find-your-campervan.com. Changes to the rental peri­od after vehi­cle pick-up must be agreed exclu­sive­ly with the respec­tive rental part­ner.
The cus­tomer is only enti­tled to use the vehi­cle with­in the con­trac­tu­al­ly agreed rental peri­od. A late return may result in addi­tion­al costs charged by the rental part­ner. The rental agree­ment is not auto­mat­i­cal­ly extend­ed by a late return. Insur­ance cov­er­age and any con­trac­tu­al lia­bil­i­ty lim­i­ta­tions expire upon the end of the agreed rental peri­od. Use beyond this peri­od is at the renter’s own risk and out­side the agreed terms. Return­ing the vehi­cle before the agreed end date does not enti­tle the cus­tomer to a refund for unused rental days, regard­less of the rea­son for ear­ly return, unless the cause is demon­stra­bly attrib­ut­able to the rental part­ner. If a reduc­tion of the reser­va­tion is approved and the total rental price decreas­es, this does not affect the amount of any deposit already paid. Par­tial refunds of deposits are exclud­ed.

2.6 Rebookings and Change Requests

Unless explic­it­ly reg­u­lat­ed in the rental partner’s rental agree­ments, rebook­ings are at the sole dis­cre­tion of the rental part­ner. find-your-campervan.com does not guar­an­tee the pos­si­bil­i­ty of rebook­ing but will con­tact the rental part­ner on behalf of the cus­tomer to review and, if pos­si­ble, arrange for a change.

2.7 Right of Withdrawal

There is no statu­to­ry right of with­draw­al for vehi­cle rental book­ings made via the plat­form, as these are time-spe­cif­ic leisure ser­vices con­clud­ed for a fixed peri­od. Can­cel­la­tions are there­fore only pos­si­ble in accor­dance with the rental partner’s can­cel­la­tion pol­i­cy.

 

3 Prices, Payment and Payment Processing

3.1 Displayed “from Prices” prior to Registration

The “from prices” dis­played on our plat­form are non-bind­ing and based on the low­est avail­able rates at the time of the request. These prices depend on var­i­ous fac­tors, includ­ing the select­ed trav­el peri­od, rental dura­tion, pick-up and drop-off loca­tions, cur­rent avail­abil­i­ty, lead time of the book­ing, as well as indi­vid­u­al­ly agreed con­di­tions with the respec­tive rental part­ners. The final book­able total price will only be dis­played after a bind­ing avail­abil­i­ty check with the rental part­ner, based on the trav­el data entered by the cus­tomer.

3.2 Local Currencies and Currency Conversion

The rental part­ner gen­er­al­ly pro­vides find-your-campervan.com with prices in its respec­tive local cur­ren­cy. This local cur­ren­cy is exclu­sive­ly bind­ing and forms the con­trac­tu­al basis. Prices dis­played in your pre­ferred cur­ren­cy are con­vert­ed from the local cur­ren­cy of the rental des­ti­na­tion based on the exchange rate applic­a­ble at the time of book­ing, as deter­mined from pub­licly avail­able sources. Any pay­ments made after the day of the book­ing date will be recon­vert­ed by your bank or pay­ment provider at the exchange rate valid on the date of the next pay­ment. As exchange rates may fluc­tu­ate, the final amount charged may dif­fer from the price shown at the day of the book­ing and the first pay­ment. By com­plet­ing a book­ing, you acknowl­edge and accept that such exchange rate fluc­tu­a­tions may cause vari­a­tions in the final amount payable.

Any fees charged by banks or pay­ment ser­vice providers—particularly for cur­ren­cy con­ver­sion or inter­na­tion­al trans­ac­tions – are borne sole­ly by the cus­tomer. Nei­ther find-your-campervan.com nor the rental part­ner will reim­burse such costs.

3.3 Price Transparency and Exclusions

The final rental price for the select­ed vehi­cle will be dis­played in full at the end of the book­ing process, includ­ing a trans­par­ent break­down of the total price, the deposit, and any remain­ing bal­ance due (if not payable in full imme­di­ate­ly).

The rental price does not include the fol­low­ing expens­es, which must be borne by the cus­tomer inde­pen­dent­ly:
• fuel costs
• fines and traf­fic vio­la­tions
• park­ing fees
• entrance or event tick­ets
• fees for camp­ing or park­ing sites

Depend­ing on the provider, addi­tion­al tolls or road-use fees may apply. Whether these apply can be found in the spe­cif­ic rental partner’s rental agree­ments.

3.4 Binding Nature of Prices and Price Changes

As rental part­ners use dynam­ic pric­ing struc­tures, repeat­ed or delayed book­ing inquiries may lead to price vari­a­tions. find-your-campervan.com has no influ­ence over the pric­ing pol­i­cy oft he rental part­ners. Once a rental agree­ment has been con­clud­ed based on a spe­cif­ic offer, the agreed price in the local cur­ren­cy is bind­ing. Sub­se­quent price adjust­ments – includ­ing in the event of lat­er, low­er-priced offers – are exclud­ed.

3.5 Best Price Guarantee

find-your-campervan.com offers cus­tomers a best price guar­an­tee for rental offers medi­at­ed through the plat­form. If the cus­tomer finds a cheap­er offer for the iden­ti­cal vehi­cle mod­el, dur­ing the same trav­el peri­od, and under com­pa­ra­ble con­di­tions (e.g., equip­ment, mileage allowance, insur­ance cov­er­age) from anoth­er provider, this can be sub­mit­ted to find-your-campervan.com. find-your-campervan.com will review the offer and endeav­our to pro­vide a bet­ter price, pro­vid­ed all con­di­tions match.
The exter­nal com­par­i­son offer must be sub­mit­ted before com­plet­ing a book­ing via find-your-campervan.com. No enti­tle­ment to price match­ing or under­bid­ding exists once a bind­ing book­ing con­fir­ma­tion, includ­ing the rental vouch­er, has been issued.

The competitor’s offer must be pro­vid­ed in writ­ten form, up-to-date, and ver­i­fi­able (e.g., via screen­shot or PDF show­ing price, rental peri­od, vehi­cle mod­el, and ser­vice details). The best price guar­an­tee does not apply to sub­se­quent­ly iden­ti­fied price dif­fer­ences, pri­vate spe­cial con­di­tions, indi­vid­ual dis­count pro­mo­tions, group or cor­po­rate rates, or offers with­in closed user groups or loy­al­ty pro­grammes.

3.6 Payment Terms and Payment Processing

To secure a bind­ing reser­va­tion, a bookind deposit on the total rental price must be made to find-your-campervan.com. By com­plet­ing the book­ing, the cus­tomer autho­rizes find-your-campervan.com to deb­it the respec­tive amount using the select­ed pay­ment method.
The book­ing is only con­firmed once pay­ment has been suc­cess­ful­ly processed. The remain­ing rental bal­ance must either be paid direct­ly to the rental part­ner or to find-your-campervan.com, which will for­ward the pay­ment to the rental part­ner. Some providers require full pay­ment no lat­er than 35, 14, or 7 days pri­or to the start of the trip; oth­ers allow pay­ment of the remain­ing bal­ance upon vehi­cle han­dover. Cus­tomers will be informed of the rel­e­vant pay­ment dead­line dur­ing the book­ing process.
The book­ing deposit can be secure­ly made at the end of the book­ing process with the select­ed pay­ment method of the cus­tomer. The spe­cif­ic terms for pay­ing the remain­ing bal­ance depend on the rental part­ner and are indi­vid­u­al­ly stat­ed in the book­ing details.
If “invoice” is cho­sen as the pay­ment method, the renter will receive an invoice from the rental part­ner with a spe­cif­ic pay­ment dead­line after the book­ing has been con­firmed. If pay­ment is not received on time, the rental part­ner reserves the right to can­cel the book­ing.
If the book­ing is made short­ly before the start of the rental peri­od, pay­ment by invoice may no longer be pos­si­ble.

3.7 Security Deposit

A secu­ri­ty deposit must be pro­vid­ed on-site upon vehi­cle col­lec­tion to secure against pos­si­ble dam­ages, traf­fic vio­la­tions, or breach­es of contract—unless the deposit has been reduced to zero through addi­tion­al insur­ance.
The secu­ri­ty deposit is usu­al­ly payable by cred­it card. Some providers accept deb­it cards, but pre­paid cards or cash are gen­er­al­ly not accept­ed. It is the customer’s respon­si­bil­i­ty to present a valid cred­it card in their name with suf­fi­cient funds.
The amount of the secu­ri­ty deposit is deter­mined by the rental part­ner and com­mu­ni­cat­ed trans­par­ent­ly dur­ing the book­ing process and in the rental agree­ments of the rental part­ners.

In the event of dam­age caused and report­ed by the cus­tomer, the rental part­ner may:
• obtain a cost esti­mate and deduct or charge the cor­re­spond­ing amount from the secu­ri­ty deposit, and
• with­hold the entire secu­ri­ty deposit until the final dam­age amount has been deter­mined.
The customer’s cred­it card may be charged up to the amount of the agreed excess in case of dam­age. By sign­ing the rental agree­ment, the cus­tomer express­ly autho­rizes the rental part­ner to charge the pro­vid­ed cred­it card in con­nec­tion with any dam­age caused, con­trac­tu­al breach­es, or fail­ure to return the vehi­cle in the agreed con­di­tion.
The refund or release of the secu­ri­ty deposit will occur after prop­er return of the vehi­cle, pro­vid­ed that no jus­ti­fied claims are made by the rental part­ner.

 

4 Services and Additional Options

4.1 Additional Services During Booking

At the end of the book­ing process, cus­tomers may add option­al extras (e.g., acces­sories or ser­vices). These ser­vices are not includ­ed in the reg­u­lar rental price and are not con­sid­ered part of the pri­ma­ry ser­vice. The con­trac­tu­al rela­tion­ship for these addi­tion­al ser­vices exists exclu­sive­ly between the cus­tomer and the respec­tive rental part­ner.
At the request of cer­tain rental part­ners, addi­tion­al ser­vices may form part of the con­trac­tu­al rela­tion­ship between find-your-campervan.com and the cus­tomer and will be invoiced in advance through find-your-campervan.com. In such cas­es, these ser­vices will be clear­ly iden­ti­fied dur­ing the book­ing process and itemised on the invoice. For oth­er providers, addi­tion­al ser­vices can only be booked dur­ing the online check-in or direct­ly on-site with the rental part­ner and are payable there.

4.2 Additional Services On-Site

Any addi­tion­al ser­vices booked by the cus­tomer direct­ly with the rental part­ner at vehi­cle pick-up are not part of the orig­i­nal book­ing through find-your-campervan.com. Such ser­vices are exclu­sive­ly sub­ject to the rental partner’s rental agree­ments, and no con­trac­tu­al claims may be assert­ed against find-your-campervan.com in this respect.

4.3 Non-Binding Vehicle Information and Disclaimer

find-your-campervan.com pro­vides infor­ma­tion about rental vehi­cles and the rental con­di­tions of its part­ners on the plat­form, includ­ing vehi­cle descrip­tions, equip­ment details, pho­tos, rental terms, and oth­er rel­e­vant details. All infor­ma­tion serves gen­er­al guid­ance only and is based on details pro­vid­ed by the rental part­ners. No reg­u­lar ver­i­fi­ca­tion of the accu­ra­cy, com­plete­ness, or time­li­ness of this infor­ma­tion is con­duct­ed by find-your-campervan.com. While we endeav­our to present the infor­ma­tion as accu­rate­ly and up-to-date as pos­si­ble, we accept no lia­bil­i­ty for its accu­ra­cy or avail­abil­i­ty.

The vehi­cles dis­played on the plat­form gen­er­al­ly cor­re­spond to the booked vehi­cle cat­e­go­ry or des­ig­nat­ed mod­el. How­ev­er, for providers with large fleets with­in a sin­gle cat­e­go­ry, vari­a­tions may occur, espe­cial­ly because vehi­cles may have been acquired at dif­fer­ent times. Minor dif­fer­ences in brand, lay­out, equip­ment, dimen­sions, or con­struc­tion type with­in the same cat­e­go­ry are there­fore pos­si­ble.

The booked vehi­cle cat­e­go­ry, as well as the guar­an­teed func­tion­al­i­ty and capac­i­ty – espe­cial­ly the num­ber of seats and sleep­ing berths – are ensured in all cas­es. Minor devi­a­tions that do not impair the agreed func­tion­al­i­ty or capac­i­ty do not con­sti­tute a defect and do not enti­tle the cus­tomer to a price reduc­tion, with­draw­al, or com­pen­sa­tion. The rental part­ner is sole­ly respon­si­ble for the con­tent, ser­vices, and con­trac­tu­al con­di­tions. Nei­ther find-your-campervan.com nor the rental part­ner shall be liable for minor dis­crep­an­cies between the descrip­tion and the actu­al vehi­cle, pro­vid­ed there is no sig­nif­i­cant devi­a­tion from the agreed scope of use.

 

5 Rental Conditions and performance of the Rental Agreement

5.1 Rights and Obligations

The cus­tomer must assert all rights, claims, or objec­tions aris­ing from the rental rela­tion­ship – includ­ing com­plaints regard­ing defects, delays, non-pro­vi­sion, or oth­er ser­vice fail­ures – direct­ly against the rental part­ner. This applies to both pre-con­trac­tu­al agree­ments and the bind­ing rental agree­ment.

find-your-campervan.com assumes no respon­si­bil­i­ty for the avail­abil­i­ty, qual­i­ty, con­di­tion, equip­ment, or oth­er char­ac­ter­is­tics of the rent­ed vehi­cle, nor for the per­for­mance of con­trac­tu­al oblig­a­tions by the rental part­ner. The plat­form has no influ­ence over the con­tent of rental agree­ments or their exe­cu­tion on-site.
It is the customer’s respon­si­bil­i­ty to check all book­ing infor­ma­tion for accu­ra­cy and com­plete­ness before con­clud­ing the con­tract and to con­tact the rental part­ner direct­ly in case of any uncer­tain­ties.

5.2 Minimum Age and Driver’s Licence

The min­i­mum age required to rent a vehi­cle may vary depend­ing on the rental part­ner. The applic­a­ble min­i­mum age is spec­i­fied in the provider’s rental con­di­tions and will be com­mu­ni­cat­ed to the cus­tomer before the book­ing is final­ized. It is the customer’s sole respon­si­bil­i­ty to ensure that they meet the nec­es­sary require­ments. Rental is only pos­si­ble if the min­i­mum age is reached at the time of vehi­cle pick-up. This applies to all reg­is­tered dri­vers. The cus­tomer bears sole respon­si­bil­i­ty for ensur­ing that all dri­vers list­ed in the rental agree­ment meet the respec­tive rental partner’s require­ments for oper­at­ing the vehi­cle. find-your-campervan.com accepts no lia­bil­i­ty for any vio­la­tions of these require­ments. Fail­ure to meet them may result in can­cel­la­tion of the book­ing, refusal of vehi­cle han­dover, or claims for dam­ages by the rental part­ner.

5.3 Driver Information in the Rental Agreement

All per­sons who will oper­ate the vehi­cle must be list­ed in the on-site rental agree­ment. Insur­ance cov­er­age is void if per­sons not list­ed in the agree­ment dri­ve the vehi­cle.

5.4 Vehicle Acceptance and Return

The cus­tomer is oblig­ed to care­ful­ly inspect the vehi­cle for dam­age or defects before com­menc­ing trav­el. This includes:
• the exter­nal and inter­nal con­di­tion of the vehi­cle,
• the com­plete­ness of includ­ed acces­sories (e.g., cables, camp­ing equip­ment, nav­i­ga­tion devices), and
• any addi­tion­al­ly booked ser­vices (e.g., child seats, bike racks, mobile Wi-Fi).
Exist­ing dam­age doc­u­ment­ed by the rental part­ner will be record­ed in the han­dover report, which will be pre­sent­ed to the cus­tomer. By sign­ing at vehi­cle col­lec­tion, the cus­tomer con­firms receipt of the vehi­cle in the doc­u­ment­ed and con­trac­tu­al­ly agreed con­di­tion.

Addi­tion­al dam­age or devi­a­tions dis­cov­ered dur­ing han­dover and not record­ed in the report must be imme­di­ate­ly report­ed in writ­ing before depar­ture and, where pos­si­ble, doc­u­ment­ed with pho­tos. This report must be made direct­ly to the rental part­ner, not to find-your-campervan.com.

Fail­ure to report such dam­age may result in lat­er com­plaints being reject­ed and the renter being held liable. At the end of the rental peri­od, the vehi­cle must be returned in the con­di­tion doc­u­ment­ed at han­dover, allow­ing for nor­mal wear and tear. Unless oth­er­wise agreed in the rental con­di­tions, the vehi­cle must be returned with a full fuel tank. A return report will also be cre­at­ed, to be signed by the cus­tomer. This report doc­u­ments the con­di­tion of the vehi­cle upon return and serves as the basis for poten­tial claims, such as new dam­ages, miss­ing acces­sories, or insuf­fi­cient refu­elling. Return­ing the vehi­cle with unre­port­ed dam­age or in a non-con­trac­tu­al con­di­tion may lead to addi­tion­al charges or reten­tion of the secu­ri­ty deposit by the rental part­ner.

5.5 Behaviour in Case of Accidents, Defects, or Damage

In the event of an acci­dent, dam­age, or tech­ni­cal defect, the rental partner’s rental agree­ments apply pri­mar­i­ly. All dam­ages, defects, or mal­func­tions – regard­less of whether they occur while dri­ving, parked, or sta­tion­ary – must be report­ed imme­di­ate­ly and direct­ly to the rental part­ner. Fail­ure to report, or late report­ing, may result in the par­tial or com­plete for­fei­ture of the renter’s rights and claims, such as insur­ance cov­er­age, road­side assis­tance, replace­ment vehi­cle ser­vice, or refunds. In addi­tion to report­ing to the rental part­ner, find-your-campervan.com must also be informed of the inci­dent, espe­cial­ly in cas­es of acci­dents, sig­nif­i­cant dam­age, or dis­putes. Only if we are informed in a time­ly and com­plete man­ner we can medi­ate in dis­putes and help resolve the issue. find-your-campervan.com is not involved in claims han­dling but may pro­vide advi­so­ry or medi­a­tion sup­port if prop­er­ly informed.

5.6 Pick-up and Return Times

The renter is respon­si­ble for inde­pen­dent­ly check­ing the applic­a­ble pick-up and return times of the select­ed rental part­ner. Dif­fer­ent open­ing or ser­vice hours may apply, espe­cial­ly on week­ends and pub­lic hol­i­days. find-your-campervan.com assumes no lia­bil­i­ty for the accu­ra­cy of the open­ing hours dis­played on the plat­form. These may change and are sole­ly the respon­si­bil­i­ty of the respec­tive providers.

5.7 Travelling with Pets

Bring­ing pets in the rental vehi­cle is only per­mit­ted with the express con­sent of the respec­tive rental part­ner. Whether and under what con­di­tions pets may be tak­en is deter­mined by the rental partner’s indi­vid­ual terms. Bring­ing pets may incur addi­tion­al costs. Many providers charge spe­cial clean­ing fees (e.g., for pet hair removal or odour elim­i­na­tion), which vary by provider. With­out pri­or con­sent, bring­ing pets is not per­mit­ted. Vio­la­tions may result in addi­tion­al clean­ing charges, refusal of the vehi­cle to sub­se­quent cus­tomers, and pos­si­ble con­trac­tu­al con­se­quences.

5.8 Cancellations and Deadlines

The can­cel­la­tion and refund con­di­tions of the respec­tive rental part­ner apply to all book­ings. In case of can­cel­la­tion by the cus­tomer, only a per­cent­age of the total rental amount, as defined by the rental partner’s terms, will typ­i­cal­ly be refund­ed. The remain­ing por­tion will be with­held by the rental part­ner as a can­cel­la­tion fee.

Cus­tomers are advised to con­sid­er tak­ing out trav­el can­cel­la­tion insur­ance. The rel­e­vant time for can­cel­la­tion is sole­ly when it is received by the rental part­ner. Noti­fi­ca­tion to find-your-campervan.com is not legal­ly suf­fi­cient. Upon receiv­ing a writ­ten can­cel­la­tion, find-your-campervan.com will for­ward it to the rental part­ner with­in 48 hours. In the event of a customer’s with­draw­al, find-your-campervan.com is enti­tled to charge a can­cel­la­tion fee equal to the amount of the ini­tial pay­ment (book­ing deposit).

5.9 Entry Requirements

The cus­tomer is sole­ly respon­si­ble for obtain­ing and ensur­ing the valid­i­ty of all required trav­el doc­u­ments and dri­ving per­mits, such as visas, pass­ports, inter­na­tion­al dri­ving licences, or oth­er nec­es­sary doc­u­ments in the respec­tive coun­try of rental.
find-your-campervan.com is not liable if vehi­cle col­lec­tion or entry is denied due to miss­ing or invalid doc­u­ments.

 

6 Liability and Insurance

6.1 Liability

The cus­tomers lia­bil­i­ty for dam­age to the vehi­cle is lim­it­ed to the amount of the con­trac­tu­al­ly agreed excess, as spec­i­fied in the respec­tive rental partner’s rental agree­ments. This lim­i­ta­tion of lia­bil­i­ty does not apply if the dam­age was caused inten­tion­al­ly or by gross neg­li­gence. In par­tic­u­lar, in cas­es of will­ful dam­age, vio­la­tions of statu­to­ry reg­u­la­tions, or breach of con­trac­tu­al oblig­a­tions, the cus­tomer is ful­ly liable with­out lim­i­ta­tion by the agreed excess.

The same applies if the dam­age results from use not cov­ered by the rental agree­ment or express­ly pro­hib­it­ed (e.g., dri­ving under the influ­ence of alco­hol or drugs, off-road dri­ving with­out autho­riza­tion, or allow­ing non-reg­is­tered dri­vers to oper­ate the vehi­cle).

6.2 Insurance

find-your-campervan.com itself does not pro­vide insur­ance ser­vices. A basic or stan­dard insur­ance is includ­ed in the rental price of every rental part­ner by default. The spe­cif­ic insur­ance con­di­tions, cov­er­age amounts, and excess lev­els are set out in the respec­tive rental con­tracts and gen­er­al terms and con­di­tions of the rental part­ners.
Addi­tion­al­ly, cus­tomers have the option to pur­chase an option­al sup­ple­men­tary insur­ance from an exter­nal third-par­ty provider dur­ing the book­ing process via find-your-campervan.com. This third-par­ty provider will be clear­ly iden­ti­fied dur­ing the book­ing process. In such cas­es, only the insur­ance terms and con­di­tions of the respec­tive third-par­ty provider apply.

 

7 Data Protection, Data Security and Copyright

7.1 Data Protection and Right of Revocation

The pro­tec­tion of the customer’s per­son­al data is of great impor­tance to find-your-campervan.com. The pro­cess­ing of such data is car­ried out in accor­dance with the applic­a­ble data pro­tec­tion reg­u­la­tions.

7.2. Collection and Use of Personal Data

Dur­ing the book­ing process, we col­lect only the per­son­al data nec­es­sary to com­plete the camper­van book­ing. This includes:
• first name
• last name
• tele­phone num­ber
• address
• email address
• date of birth
• cred­it card details
This data will be for­ward­ed exclu­sive­ly to the respec­tive rental part­ner for the pur­pose of pro­cess­ing the book­ing. Any fur­ther use or trans­fer to third par­ties does not take place.

7.3. Data Security

The trans­mis­sion of the customer’s data is encrypt­ed using at least a 128-bit SSL con­nec­tion to pro­tect it against unau­tho­rized access. Our sys­tems com­ply with the lat­est state-of-the-art secu­ri­ty stan­dards.

7.4. Information, Rectification, and Revocation

The cus­tomer has the right at any time to request infor­ma­tion about the per­son­al data stored with us, as well as to request rec­ti­fi­ca­tion, restric­tion of pro­cess­ing, or com­plete dele­tion, pro­vid­ed there are no statu­to­ry reten­tion oblig­a­tions to the con­trary. Requests for infor­ma­tion or revo­ca­tion must be sub­mit­ted in writ­ing to:
